Caravan Sites and Mobile Home Parks: The Legal Framework was first published in 1995. It set out to provide a clear, practical guide to the law for residents, site owners, local authorities, and all others concerned with mobile homes (now generally known as "park homes") and caravans.
The book is now firmly established as the key guide to this subject. It deals in detail with the main legislation, and it also covers areas of the general law which may be of concern, including the powers of local authorities, and the civil and criminal law as they apply to caravan sites and home parks.
The book explains fully and clearly what the rights of residents and site owners are and how they are enforced by local authorities and the courts.
The second edition now features a re-written and fully updated text, and a new, easy-to-use layout. An additional chapter deals with the special legal position of gipsies. And the book now includes the current texts of the 1960, 1968 and 1983 Acts, delegated legislation, and a full selection of DEFRA Planning Policy Guidance Notes and Circulars.
Legal references are included, for those who wish to follow them up.
